My Guide to Bubble Tea

Bubble Tea has always been and is still an important part of my life. I generally love tea almost as much as I love water, cause I don't drink coffee. I envy people who look cool drinking coffee (aka Song Minho. But in all honesty he looks cool no matter what he does), but I really can't. Occasionally mocha and latte work for me, but most of the time they will cause me stomachache also wtf. Drinking coffee is a dramatic experience for me ok.

Anyway... the bubble tea brand that has my heart is definitely KOI Cafe. It just doesn't exist where I live :( Saying it's my favourite, however, I only drink 1 menu from there LOL. So here goes my list if you visit a bubble tea store and want to try the best menu (well, according to my personal taste):

1. KOI Cafe
-Green Tea Macchiato-

2. Happy Lemon
-Green Tea with Salted Cheese-

My newfound love. This is AMAZING. The best tea drink in entire country for me.

3. Gong Cha
This chain store kinda grew on me because this is the only available store in my neighbourhood lmao. But tbh, I used to love this before they deleted Earl Grey off the menu. Then somehow they popped the Earl Grey back, so I rekindled my love for them wtf. (although Chatime also has them now)

My favourites in this store:
- Milk Foam Green Tea (you see the pattern here. I like to drink tea with foam, tasting the tea then mix them together. Pleasure omg. And Gong Cha was the first store that introduce me to this actually. Back in 2014?)
※ Bottom part is pudding as the topping

- Peach Green Tea with Coconut Jelly (when you don't want something milky)

- Matcha Milk Tea with Mango Syrup

HAHAHA I know this may sound gross. But here's the story behind it. One day I was buying my tea, minding my own business. And these people behind the counter was busy creating 'experimental' drink and forced me to try it (perks of visiting the store too often wtf). They promised me it's not poisonous even though it's green af so I tried. And it turns out GOOD. So I've been asking them to make that for me lol. The one pictured is with Pudding as topping and if you look carefully, you can see the mango pulp at the bottom.

- Earl Grey Milk Tea/Green Milk Tea with Pudding
I know I've been complaining about the Earl Grey and it's not even in my top 3 HAHAHA. Green tea is better for me now (for the reason it's healthier, but actually with a lot of sugar they are all the same...)

4. Chatime
Used to by my favourite, but I rarely have this although they have MANY variations. I guess it's really the location that prevents me to have them regularly.
What I usually have here:
- Chatime Milk Tea/Green Milk Tea with Pudding
- Mango Green Tea with Rainbow Jelly
- Green Tea Mousse (Sea Salt Crema??)

-Green Tea/Matcha Tea Latte

5. Honorable mention: Icha Tea

-Rose Jasmine Tea with Cheese Foam-

Man, they all look the same lol. And yes, I drink bubble tea WITHOUT the bubbles. HAHAHA.
